Privacy Policy

Massage Trades ("we", "us", "our") operates the membership platform at massagetrades.com that helps massage therapists trade sessions with one another. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Account information: name, email address, password, phone number, profile photo, bio, modalities, years of experience, practice locations, and any optional professional credential information (such as credential type, number, jurisdiction, or link) you choose to share.

Trade and messaging activity: trade requests, status changes, in-app messages between members, and credit balance history.

Payment information: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.

Technical information: IP address, device and browser information, and usage logs used to operate and secure the service.

We use your information to operate the platform, match members for trades, deliver notifications you have asked for (including SMS when you opt in), process payments and credits, prevent abuse, and provide customer support.

If you opt in to text notifications from your profile, we use your mobile phone number to send transactional alerts about trade activity (new trade requests, accepted, declined, or cancelled trades).

No mobile information — including phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent — will be shared with, sold to, or transferred to third parties, affiliates, or lead generators for marketing or promotional purposes.

You can stop SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any text, or by turning off the "Text me about trade activity" toggle in your profile. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your trade activity.

We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is necessary with vendors that operate the service on our behalf: Lovable Cloud (hosting, database, authentication, storage), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Twilio (SMS delivery), and Geoapify (address lookup). Each receives only the data needed to perform its function.

We may share information when required by law, to protect our rights and the safety of our members, or in connection with a business transfer (with notice to you).

Limited profile details (first name, last initial, city, state, modalities, bio, photo) are visible to other signed-in members in the directory. Sensitive contact details (last name, email, phone, exact address) are revealed only to members you have an active or completed trade with.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You can edit profile information at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, email support@massagetrades.com.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including HTTPS in transit, access controls, and row-level database security. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

Massage Trades is intended for adult massage therapy professionals and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
